George Wright speaks about his experience studying T Level Engineering at Warrington & Vale Royal College

Former Cardinal Newman pupil George Wright chose to study at Warrington & Vale Royal College after attending one of last year’s open evenings and being inspired by the impressive facilities on offer.

George Wright T Level Engineering

George enrolled on our T Level Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing & Control: Machining & Toolmaking Technologies course and enjoys the practical side of his course, especially stripping engines apart and learning all about them. With dreams of an engineering role within the Navy, George feels as though his course is actively preparing him for his future and providing him with the skills required for his dream career.

George has been particularly impressed by his tutors, saying “The tutors really are experts in their field. They know what they’re talking about because they already have experience in the industry which means we are getting advice that will actually benefit us in our careers. I would recommend a T Level to anyone who prefers a practical approach as the course really gives you the best of both worlds where you can learn theory whilst also getting hands on experience.”

Warrington & Vale Royal College offer a wide range of T Level courses across several different industries including health, engineering and business. Equivalent to 3 A Levels, T Levels provide students with the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in a more practical way. These courses are designed to place focus on gaining valuable hands-on experience, with students spending 20% of their time on a meaningful industry placement.
