Sian Johnson, Level 2 Accounts Apprentice at Warrington & Vale Royal College, is thriving in her role.
Although Sian originally completed a degree in Animal Behaviour, she struggled to find a job she enjoyed. Fortunately, she came across an apprenticeship vacancy on the college’s website and having always enjoyed and excelled at maths, she decided to apply for the position.
Choosing to retrain as an adult can be daunting, but Sian has taken this career change in her stride and is thriving on her apprenticeship. She speaks highly of her experience so far: “From my experience being both a staff member and a student here, I have found everyone so friendly and supportive. If need be, there is always help on hand – which I am grateful for!”
