Meet Bev Bowden, Introduction to Plumbing student. Bev enrolled onto this short introductory course to get out of her comfort zone and learn something new. When she saw this course in our latest adult course guide she just went for it, which she says was the best decision she’s made.
As Bev works remotely for her job, she misses out on the social aspect of working with others and says that this is a great way to meet new friends while learning something new. On the course, Bev has learnt how to solder and has learnt the correct techniques on how to measure and cut materials.
She says: “All of the tutors, including the technicians, are lovely and great to learn from! The workshops have all of the equipment needed to learn - it makes the experience so much better!”
After completing this course, Bev is looking forward to using these skills at home and is looking to complete more courses at the college, starting off with our Level 2 Fitness Instructing course starting in October.
