Fin chose to study at Warrington & Vale Royal College to strengthen his existing skills and support his long-term ambition of carrying out full house renovations. Although only at the start of his course, Fin is already enjoying the experience and feels well supported by the college team.
He says: "The tutors and staff have been phenomenal. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and is always happy to answer questions. I've felt really supported from day one."
Balancing study alongside work commitments was an important consideration when choosing a course, and Fin has found that the timetable fits perfectly around his existing responsibilities. The class times are ideal and make it easy to fit studying around his other commitments.
Looking ahead, Fin plans to continue building his knowledge and experience within the construction industry, giving him the skills and confidence to take on larger plumbing projects in the future.
Finally, having now experienced being an adult student at the college, Fin would recommend Warrington & Vale Royal College to anyone considering returning to education. He says: "I didn't really have any preconceptions about the college before starting, but now I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn new skills or gain qualifications as an adult."
