What is the course about?
This professional course is suitable for beauty therapists or make-up artists who are looking to develop their career within the advanced non-medical aesthetics industry. The Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation focuses on using micropigmentation, a form of cosmetic tattooing, to create make-up effects to enhance facial features.
During this advanced course, you will learn how to provide a thorough consultation with clients and how to achieve a range of micropigmentation effects, including hair stroke and powder brows, lip liner and lip blush, and top and bottom eyeliner. You will also learn how to provide the relevant aftercare.
What will I learn?
During this course you will learn:
- Management of health, safety and security within a salon
- Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector
- Enhance appearance using micropigmentation treatment.
The course is delivered two days onsite and will cover the technical knowledge and demonstrations. Students will have 3 months to undertake 4 case studies for each treatment - lips, eyeliner and eyebrow. This can be 4 new clients for each procedure or 2 new clients for each procedure followed by a retouch 4 weeks after their original treatment. A final assessment will take place at the end of the 3 months.

What are the entry requirements?
To enter this course you will need to have achieved a level 3 diploma in beauty therapy or have completed at least five years of industry experience.
It is highly recommended that you are currently working in industry, as this provides the valuable experience necessary to complete this level 4 qualification.
Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
In order to portray a professional image, students are expected to wear all black and low, flat, closed toe shoes. Jewellery is not permitted. Your tutor will recommend wholesale suppliers for the purchase of necessary products. Any other costs will be discussed during induction.
