What will I learn?

This varied course covers a wide range of modules which will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to secure a high-level career in the field of construction. You will begin the course by studying construction design, construction principles, tendering and estimating, construction technology, and health and safety in construction. When progressing on to your second year, you will undertake more complex modules including surveying, graphical detailing, building regulations and control, building information modelling, and management of a construction project. You will also have the opportunity to take part in hands-on work experience in a construction setting, providing you with valuable practical skills and preparing you for the workplace.

What will the course lead on to?

Upon completion, you could progress on to our HNC Construction and the Built Environment to develop your skills further. Alternatively, you may wish to pursue a higher apprenticeship and earn while you learn. For example, our Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship would be a suitable progression route. You could also head to university to study a related degree, or go straight into employment.
