Warrington & Vale Royal College's Supported Internship students start placement

Warrington & Vale Royal College's Supported Internship students have recently started their placements at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the college is so proud of them!

Supported Internship Students started placement at hospital

Leoni McHugh, Supported Internship Coordinator, said: "I am thrilled to see all of our interns fully immersed in a real working environment, enjoying their new responsibilities, and learning about different roles within the workplace. It’s truly a joy to witness. Supported Internships are making a positive impact on workplaces and creating lasting change for young adults who may find the transition into employment challenging."

DFN Project SEARCH is an exciting, nationally recognised initiative aimed at providing meaningful workplace opportunities for young adults. It serves as a one-year transition program to help young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism enter the workforce.
