Warrington & Vale Royal College delivers bespoke plumbing training for United Utilities

Warrington & Vale Royal College is proud to announce the successful delivery of a five-day bespoke training course in basic plumbing for Customer Account Technicians from United Utilities. This tailored programme, which took place in the college’s newly opened Construction & Civil Engineering Academy, is designed to enhance awareness of fundamental plumbing skills, equipping participants with essential knowledge to better support customers and their needs.

Upon completion of the course, participants have been awarded a Level 1 Award in Construction Skills certificate, recognising their newfound understanding of plumbing basics. This initiative underscores the commitment of both Warrington & Vale Royal College and United Utilities to continuous professional development and industry-relevant training.

The feedback from this course has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants highlighting the value of both the training and the learning environment. One participant shared: "The course has been really good and engaging. The college has great facilities and a nice, relaxed atmosphere."

Nigel Ogden, United Utilities Supervisor, added: "The college has been really accommodating. Not only has this course been incredibly beneficial for the team to develop new practical skills, but it has also served as a great team-building exercise."
