The exhibition brought together work from students across all levels, from Level 1 through to Level 4 Foundation Art & Design, alongside adult students from ceramics courses at Winsford Adult College. It provided a strong showcase of the range of disciplines and approaches developed across the year.
A positive and celebratory atmosphere ran throughout the event, with students present to talk through their work, explain their ideas and share what had influenced their projects. This gave visitors a valuable insight into both the creative process and the finished outcomes.
For their final major projects, students were given the freedom to develop their own ideas, building on the techniques and skills they had explored throughout the year. The exhibition featured a wide variety of work, from painting and drawing to more experimental approaches including stop-motion, installations and textiles. Across all levels, the standard of work on display was consistently high.
Many students will now progress on to higher-level study or creative careers, with the exhibition providing an important opportunity to build portfolios and gain experience presenting their work to a public audience.
Ben Brady, Director of Curriculum & Quality at Warrington & Vale Royal College, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work and commitment this year. The quality and variety of work on display is excellent, and it’s great to see students presenting their ideas with such confidence.”
One exhibiting student said: “The exhibition was a great opportunity to show the work I’ve developed over the year. Having the freedom to explore my own ideas really helped me grow in confidence and develop my own style.”
