Record number of Warrington & Vale Royal College students progress to university

Warrington & Vale Royal College is celebrating an exceptional year of student success, with new data showing more of their level 3 students than ever before progressed to university following this summer’s Vocational Results Day. This achievement reflects the college’s continued commitment to supporting students in achieving their ambitions and securing bright futures.

Students celebrate their results at Warrington Vale Royal College

This year saw a significant rise in university progression, which has been steadily increasing year on year, with many students choosing to continue their academic journey at universities across the country following the completion of a technical qualification. Students have moved onto a wide range of universities, including those in the Russell Group and a range of specialist institutions, such as the University of Liverpool, the University of Leeds and the University of Manchester to name a few. The college recorded a particularly strong progression rate with many securing places at their first-choice universities.

This follows an impressive Vocational Results Day, where level 3 technical and T Level students celebrated an outstanding 98% pass rate. These qualifications, equivalent to three A Levels, showcase not only the hard work and dedication of students but also the high-quality teaching and support provided by the college.

With more students progressing to university and academic performance at an all-time high, Warrington & Vale Royal College continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading provider of technical education and skills training. The college remains dedicated to equipping its students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to succeed, whether moving on to university, apprenticeships, or employment.
