Graphic design students take part in exciting live brief

Earlier this month, our Graphic Design students recently took part in a live brief in partnership with Warrington-based design agency Media & Digital and BonBon Café.

The students were tasked with producing a suite of print, digital and in-store marketing assets to promote the café’s new summer drink menu. They worked in small groups to design printed leaflets, social media posts and window displays.

Students then presented their final portfolios to Media & Digital Account Manager and owner of BonBon Café, Georgie Moore.

Georgie said: “It was so exciting to see how well the students are being prepared for industry. Both the technical and presentation skills of the student were really impressive. I'm sure there will be some very in demand designers to come out of this cohort."

Live briefs are incorporated into many courses at the college to provide students with the opportunity to work on real-world projects in collaboration with employers giving them valuable experience to progress into the industry. Projects such as this one allow students to develop a range of key employability skills relevant to their chosen sector, preparing them well for their future careers.
