Harrison Marsat, Rory Cole, and Danylo Tymoffienko began their journey with a rigorous online assessment, competing against more than 10,000 applicants from across the country. Reaching the next stage of the competition is a fantastic achievement in itself, highlighting both their technical ability and dedication to their trade.
The students are now preparing for the National Qualifiers, which will take place at Coleg Cambria on 4 June. Delivered in partnership with SkillELECTRIC the qualifiers are held at locations across the UK and challenge competitors to complete a practical task within a set time. The task is designed to reflect the real‑world role of an Electrical Technician and the high standards expected within the electrical industry – standards our expert tutors work hard to instil in every student.
Looking ahead, success at the qualifiers could see the students progress to the WorldSkills UK National Competition, with the potential to join Squad UK. This would open the door to representing the UK at the WorldSkills International competition in Japan in 2028 – an incredible opportunity on a truly global stage.
We wish Harrison, Rory, and Dan the very best of luck as they continue their WorldSkills journey and are extremely proud of everything they have achieved so far.
