Supported Internship Co-ordinator

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full time, fixed term Supported Internship Coordinator. The coordinator is required to coordinate, plan, and implement the DFN Supported Internship Programme based at Warrington Hospital, supporting interns with a range of additional needs and autism in the workplace, facilitating work-based learning leading to employment. You will manage the programme operations, support the job coach, liaise with internal departmental managers to secure and maintain suitable placements,

Suitable candidates should have GCSES in Maths and English at Grade 4 or above, or equivalent, and a relevant Level 3 qualification. Candidates should have experience of working with people with learning disabilities, risk assessments, job coaching, and working and successfully dealing with employers. In addition, candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively, to show empathy and understanding, and to promote and work towards independence amongst the user group.
