You will either have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification. Through the Taking Teaching Further Programme, the college is able to recruit applicants with industry experience to retrain as FE teachers. The programme will provide funding for the cost of the teacher qualification and full mentor support, provided by the college.
The college welcomes applications from skilled professionals and industry experts who would like to consider a teaching career and share their skills with the next generation. You don’t always need a degree or teaching qualification to get started. There are opportunities to complete your teacher training on the job. Please visit the government website at Teach in FE for further details on their Teach in Further Education campaign.
For the academic year 25/26, eligible teachers could receive a premium payment of £2,000 to £6,000; further details are available on request.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check/Children’s barred list check, a Prohibition check for teaching staff.
