What is the course about?

If you have a very basic knowledge of Spanish and would like to enhance your skills, this is the perfect course for you! This course is suitable for adults aged 19 and over who would like to learn how to speak Spanish.

Why should I choose the course?

Have you always been interested in learning a language? Whether you want to be able to speak confidently on holiday, enhance your employability, or even just have some fun learning something new, this is the right course for you.

What will I learn?

This course will focus on vocabulary needed to increase confidence in dealing with everyday situations. You will develop your knowledge of the language and learn about Spanish culture.

You will develop and practise basic Spanish reading, listening, and speaking skills. This will include:

The areas covered will include:

  • What do you like? Likes and dislikes, personal details, and opinions
  • Do you want to go out? Inviting people, explaining problems, and future plans
  • Transport: buying transport tickets and understanding station announcements
  • The weather: describing the seasons, weather forecasts and phone requests
  • Are you ok? Parts of the body, describing symptoms, and giving advice.

You will be informally assessed by the tutor, and you will also self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan.
