What is the course about?
This Introduction course will focus on the vocabulary needed to increase confidence in dealing with everyday situations in a Italian speaking environment. You will develop your knowledge of the language and learn about Italian culture.
Why should I choose the course?
Whether you want to be able to speak confidently on holiday, enhance your employability, or even just have some fun learning something new, this course will help you begin to achieve your goals.
The course is suitable for adults aged 19 and over who have little or no knowledge of Italian
What will I learn?
You will develop and practise basic Spanish reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills.
This will include:
- Shopping for food - recognize different type of shops - weights and containers
- Shopping for Clothes, gift and accessories - Asking and giving the time - opening and closing times
- Speak to a doctor or Pharmacist - explain any health issues - recognize different parts of the body
- Hire a car and deal with any problems - recognize different parts of a vehicle
- Describe hobbies and past times - likes and dislikes
Throughout the course, you will gain understanding about how use Present Tense in Italian with commonly used verbs.
You will be informally assessed by the tutor, and you will also self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan.
