What is the course about?

This course involves inserting fine needles for a therapeutic effect. This is not a traditional Chinese medicine qualification (TCM). This medical acupuncture course (dry needling) will add a new skill to add as an upsell or as a standalone treatment.

Why should I choose the course?

If you are currently working as a sports remedial massage therapist, soft tissue worker, osteopath, or physiotherapist, this course will enhance your skill set and allow you to provide a valuable new service to your clients.

What will I learn?

You will learn the following:

  • Health & safety related to dry needling
  • Introduction to anatomy and physiology for dry needling
  • Relate the use of acupuncture to treat acute, sub-acute, and chronic injury and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Practical demonstration and tuition over two days.

What are the entry requirements?

Students must have a Level 4 Sports Massage qualification or equivalent. This course is suitable for sports remedial massage therapists, soft tissue workers, osteopaths, and physiotherapists.
