What is the course about?

Our Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship is suited to any sector where data is generated or processed. You will communicate outcomes appropriate to the audience, analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes, blend data multiple sources as directed and apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data. In your daily work, you will interact with a range of stakeholders and will typically work as part of a wider team.

Why should I choose the course?

You should choose this apprenticeship if you are looking for a career in Data Management – You will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of dealing with data - sourcing, collating, error checking, formatting, analysing and presenting. This is a growing business area and you will be equipped to handle all of the core elements for a substantial bedrock on which to develop your career.

What will I learn?

During your time on the apprenticeship, you will cover a range of topics such as data security, legislation, formatting data, correcting data, blending data, securely storing data and how to access reliability of sources.

How is the apprenticeship delivered?

Classroom sessions provide you with the underpinning knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully achieve your Apprenticeship.

In addition, one to one sessions take place in the workplace to complete progress reviews, observations of work-based activities, professional discussions and assess workplace product evidence.

What will the course lead on to?

You may choose to continue your studies with a higher-level Apprenticeship (Level 4 or Degree Level Apprenticeship).

What support is available?

You will be allocated a designated tutor to guide you through your apprenticeship. We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if required, as well as a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed.
