What is the course about?
Our Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship is suited to any sector where data is generated or processed. As an apprentice, you will source, format and present data securely in a relevant way for analysis using standard methods. You will communicate outcomes appropriate to the audience, analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes, blend data multiple sources as directed and apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data. In your daily work, you will interact with a range of stakeholders and will typically work as part of a wider team.

What will I learn?
During your time on the apprenticeship, you will cover a range of topics such as data security, legislation, formatting data, correcting data, blending data, securely storing data and how to access reliability of sources.
How is the apprenticeship delivered?
Classroom sessions provide you with the underpinning knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully achieve your Apprenticeship.
In addition, one to one sessions take place in the workplace to complete progress reviews, observations of work-based activities, professional discussions and assess workplace product evidence.
What will the course lead on to?
You may choose to continue your studies with a higher-level Apprenticeship (Level 4 or Degree Level Apprenticeship).
What support is available?
You will be allocated a designated tutor to guide you through your apprenticeship. We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if required, as well as a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed.

What are the entry requirements?
Individual employers set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include five GCSEs, including English and maths. However, some employers will accept other relevant qualifications and experience, including a relevant level 2 qualification. If you do not have English or maths at level 2, you must achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment. You must hold at least one functional skills qualification or equivalent in English or maths to begin the apprenticeship.
