What is the course about?
The mental health crisis is becoming increasingly prevalent in the UK, with 1 in 4 adults experiencing a mental health problem every year. The Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health is designed to provide a greater awareness of mental health issues and the importance of mental well-being. Learners will build a knowledge base that can be used in a variety of occupational roles, gaining and understanding of the skills needed to work in mental health services. In addition, learners will build a knowledge of the importance of addressing mental health problems and how legislation and publicity are changing attitudes towards those seeking treatment.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements but you will be expected to have a pre-enrolment meeting/conversation to assess that this is the right level and course subject for you. You must be able to cope with level 3 study skills in order to complete the course.
What are my funding options?
This course is fully funded if you are eligible for funding as per Government criteria. Learners with a Greater Manchester postcode cannot currently be funded by the college.
Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
You will be required to pay a £200 fee if you enrol but do not complete the course.
