What is the course about?

This qualification will provide learners with an opportunity to develop an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) relevant to their current or future roles and will equip them with basic understanding of techniques for preventing and addressing ACEs in practice.

Why should I choose the course?

This course will enable you to develop an understanding of ACE’s and the impact these may have on different age ranges. It will enable you to relate these experiences to your own experience/ age group as appropriate to your work or job role.

What will I learn?

  • Exploring childhood and family structures
  • Introduction to adverse childhood experiences

Understanding strategies to improve outcomes for children affected by adverse childhood experiences.

You will also require a good level of literacy and an enthusiasm for engaging in the session activities. Attendance will also be monitored for the course – full attendance and commitment will ensure the best outcome
