What is the course about?
This is an extensive qualification which aims to raise awareness of not only mental ill-health, but also the steps that can be taken to protect mental well-being. Mental distress takes many forms and on this course you will explore twelve different mental health conditions.

This fully online course will help you gain new knowledge and skills for your personal life as well as your career. It covers numerous different mental health problems. You'll learn about the signs and symptoms of different mental health conditions and how to manage them, as well as gaining an understanding of mental health legislation and guidance.
What will I learn?
On this course you will gain a more general understanding of mental health, whilst also exploring the following conditions: stress, anxiety, phobias, depression, post-natal depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia dementia, eating disorders, ADHD, OCD, and PTSD.

This course could lead on to other level 2 or higher qualifications in this subject area, or help support you in your current role if you are already employed in this field. It may also enhance your CV if you are looking to work in this sector.

What are the entry requirements?
You should have access to and be able to use online learning platforms and be able to cope with level 2 literacy.
If you are aged 19-23 you must hold a full level 2 qualification.
If you are currently undertaking an apprenticeship programme you are not eligible to enrol on this course.
