What is the course about?

Wanting to start your own business or side hustle, but not sure how or where to start to bring this idea to life?

This business start-up course is for you.

The course will give you both an insight and a deeper understanding of how to set up your own business, or if are considering starting one in the future, it will provide you with the foundation skills and knowledge required.

Why should I choose the course?

The course is for individuals who wish to start their own business The course is creative, fun, with a split between theory and practical application.

What will I learn?

Initial steps for a business start-up

All learners will understand the initial steps of a business start-up. This includes how to develop business ideas, understand business ownership and work out what resources are required.

Marketing for a business start-up

All learners to understand how to market their business start-up idea, where to position it in the market and how to use market research to support the development. Learners will delve into the world of small business marketing, looking at the psychology of colour and logo design.

All learners will understand how to develop a successful marketing strategy, by creating content and using Social Media platforms to target their audience.

Developing a business plan and pitch their business idea to potential investors.

All learners, will gain an insight into how to write a business plan and will learn the importance of keeping this information up to date.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges and gain further understanding how to sell their business idea to potential investors, similar to the style of Dragon’s Den.

What support is available?

Learners will be allocated a tutor who will guide and support them throughout their course. We also have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed
