What is the course about?
This course is aimed at adults aged 19 and over that would like to learn how to speak Italian. This course is aimed at complete beginners or those with a very basic knowledge of Italian.
What will I learn?
The course will focus on the vocabulary needed to increase confidence dealing with everyday situations. You will develop knowledge of the language and learn about Italian culture.
You will develop and practise basic Italian reading, listening and speaking skills.
The areas covered will include:
- Who are you? Meeting and greeting people. Jobs and professions, Nationalities.
- At the restaurant: Food and drink. Ordering in a restaurant. Making friends
- In the City: Asking and saying where places are. Distances. Directions
- How is it? Describing places. Saying what something is like. Booking into a hotel
- Shopping: Types of shop. What you can buy. Weights and measures
You will be informally assessed by the tutor, you will also self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan.

If you reside in the Warrington and Vale Royal area and are in receipt of a benefit you may be eligible for fee reduction (£12 admin fee applies).
