What is the course about?

This qualification is designed to increase your awareness of caring for children and young people. It introduces stages of children’s development and explores how children learn at varying rates and in differing sequences. The course will describe the responsibilities of carers to ensure children are nurtured in a safe, secure environment that meets their individual care needs. You will also explore the value of play and the importance of this for development.

What are the entry requirements?

You should have access and be able to use online learning platforms and be able to cope with level 2 literacy.

If you are aged 19-23 you must hold a full level 2 qualification.

If you are currently undertaking an apprenticeship programme you will be exempt from enrolling on this course.
