Why should I choose the course?

This will help you to improve your English.  It is for students aged between 16 and 19 who are learning English.  You will learn at your own speed and gain the skills you need to live in the UK.  This course will also help you prepare for more studies and jobs.  Experienced teachers will support you and help you to do your best.  We will work with you to understand your goals and help you achieve them.

What will I learn?

The key components of the course are as follows:

  • You will have weekly whole class tutorials with your teacher. You will also have 1-2-1s with your teacher and you will work towards personalised targets.
  • You will take part in taster days in other areas of the college to give you an idea of what you might want to do the following year. These may include: construction & motor vehicle, health and social care, hair dressing, graphics, media & ICT, art & performing arts, sport & public services and hospitality & catering.
