Warrington's leading provider of technical training is still accepting school leaver applications for September 2023

If you’re leaving school this summer and have missed college application deadlines, don’t worry - there’s still time to apply to study at Warrington & Vale Royal College for this September.

Leaving school, starting college and taking some of the first steps in your career are huge milestones in your educational journey, and Warrington & Vale Royal College don’t want you to feel rushed into making a decision. That’s why our applications for school leavers remain open, giving you the time to properly weigh up your options, change your mind, and make sure you feel fully confident with your choice.

Offering over 90 courses for 16-18 year olds, including T Levels, vocational courses and apprenticeships, we supports thousands of students every year to turn their qualification into a career. Passionate about ensuring learning is accessible to all students, we have plenty of qualifications to choose from, ranging from entry level to level 3, which are equivalent to A Levels, in a huge variety of different subjects, such as business, performing arts, science, computing & IT, childcare and engineering to name but a few. Whether you are leaving school or have spent a year at another college and had a change of heart, there really is something for everyone.

Unlike many other post-16 courses, the college’s vocational routes combine academic learning with practical skills and industry experience, opening a plethora of doors for students, so they can choose to head in any direction after their studies, whether that be university, an apprenticeship or straight into paid employment. So far this year, over 90% of our level 3 students who have applied for universities up and down the country have received early offers, and are now looking forward to making their way to some of the UK’s top research institutions and prestigious Russell Group universities. We also work with some of the region’s leading employers for apprenticeships and industry placements, including KDE, Bloor Homes and the NHS, and an outstanding 90% of our apprentices are successful in securing full-time, permanent employment following completion of their qualification.

If you missed the chance to visit one of our Open Evenings, email schools@wvr.ac.uk to arrange a campus tour. In the meantime, click here to browse the full selection of courses and apply today to a college where your future truly matters.
