A recent success story is the growing number of courses being delivered at the Westbrook Centre, local to its Warrington campus. The centre has been buzzing with activity and engagement during recent sessions, creating a vibrant learning environment for those who choose to attend.
As part of this community engagement, the college is providing dedicated support to residents from Hong Kong, through a series of tailored English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) conversational classes. These sessions are designed to help residents build confidence in their English language skills, supporting them as they settle into life and work in the UK.
Tim Evans, Curriculum Manager for Adult Community Learning and ESOL, says: “It’s inspiring to see local residents gaining confidence and forming connections through these classes. We’re proud to play a key part in helping them feel at home in the community.”
Looking ahead, Warrington & Vale Royal College is excited to continue working with the Westbrook Centre and other community venues to deliver positive impact and accessible learning opportunities for all.
