As a committed partner of the college, Weee Charity has consistently provided invaluable resources, including high-quality electronic equipment, which has significantly benefited students’ quality of learning.
In recent months, Weee Charity has donated several pieces of advanced technology to the college, including 84” and 86” UHD interactive screens, a photography lighting stand with two lights, and a freestanding “Totem Style” digital signage display. These donations have equipped the college’s classrooms and learning spaces with the latest technology, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and systems.
Michael Woodward, Director of IT at Warrington & Vale Royal College, said: “We are very grateful to Weee Charity for their continuous support. Their donations will have a great impact on our students, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. We look forward to continuing this partnership and making a positive difference together.”
Beyond these generous donations of equipment, Weee Charity has also facilitated several industry placements for the college’s Foundation Learning students. These placements have provided students with practical skills and insights into the importance of recycling technical equipment and operating sustainably. One of the students, Christopher, shared his positive experience, saying: "This has been a great opportunity, and I have loved every minute. I get to spend time with my friends as well as learning too. It is great to see and learn about recycling. Thank you to the team at Weee Charity for your support."
Weee Charity’s mission is to collect, reuse, recycle, or resell electrical and electronic items, which aligns perfectly with Warrington & Vale Royal College’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement. The funds generated from these efforts are reinvested into the local community, supporting future projects, events, and initiatives aimed at relieving poverty. This partnership has not only enriched the educational experiences of the college’s students, but also contributed to the wellbeing of the wider community.
