With over 30 colleges nationally submitting entries, Warrington & Vale Royal College is delighted to have had the work of its talented students recognised. Once all submissions have been read by the AoC and successful candidates have been chosen, the select lucky students will have the opportunity to see their work published in an online anthology.
We would love to share with you the pieces submitted by our talented creative writers; we hope you enjoy reading them as much as we have!
Sophie Smithdale, Curriculum Manager for English at the college, said: “It is such a pleasure to provide a safe place for students to develop their opinions and voice through creative writing. Research shows that giving all students time and space to write creatively is hugely beneficial, improving mental health and confidence among many other things.”
“Seeing our three amazing entries highlights just how talented our students are and how valuable setting time aside for creativity in education is.”
Stay tuned on our social media to find out about who has been awarded by the AoC to have their work published in their online anthology this summer!
