Warrington & Vale Royal College Student Shortlisted for Prestigious NCFE Aspiration Award 2026!

Paige Osmond, a Level 3 Health & Social Care student and former pupil of Bridgewater High School, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the NCFE Aspiration Awards 2026, in the Against All Odds category. Paige’s journey has been one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others, despite facing difficult circumstances from a very young age, making her an incredible role model for others who may themselves be facing adversity.

Paige Osmond NCFE Aspiration Award 2026

Launched in 2018 by the educational charity NCFE, the NCFE Aspiration Awards are a national programme recognising students, apprentices and organisations across the UK who have gone over and above in technical education. The Against All Odds award recognises a learner who has overcome significant personal challenges to achieve outstanding success, and Paige’s nomination is a testament to her commitment to learning and personal development throughout her time in education.

Paige’s passion for caring for others extends well beyond her studies, where she is an active and valued member of the college community, serving as both a Student Representative for the college’s Health & Social Care Academy and Student Ambassador. Outside of college, she is a young leader with Cubs and Explorers, is actively involved with the Mamatoto charity, supporting children and young people both locally and internationally, and volunteers at her church, where she helps to serve food to community members. Her actions reflect kindness, humility, and a strong sense of social responsibility that make her a stand-out student for this award.

Commenting on the nomination, Paige’s tutor, Alexandra Traynor-Joyce, said: “Paige is an outstanding learner who truly embodies the spirit of this award. Her resilience, compassion, and determination make her a thoroughly deserving nominee, and she is an inspiration to others who may be facing challenges of their own.”

Paige was thrilled to receive the news about being shortlisted, saying: “I am really grateful to have been put forward for this award. There are so many people to thank, especially my tutors Alexandra and Tracey, who have supported me so much during my time at college. It means a lot to have my hard work recognised.”

The college is immensely proud of Paige’s achievement and wishes her the very best of luck in the final stage of the NCFE Aspiration Awards 2026.
