Warrington & Vale Royal College named finalist for two awards at the upcoming Educate North Awards!

Warrington & Vale Royal College have been announced as finalists in two award categories at the upcoming Educate North Awards. We have been recognised for our impressive work in apprenticeships and employer engagement, reaching the finals for the Apprenticeship Award and the Business Engagement, Employer Award – HE/FE Sector.

The UK Apprenticeship award is given to the provider that demonstrates outstanding contributions to the apprenticeship provision across the North. With a diverse team of apprentices and a commitment to supporting them throughout their programme, our Apprenticeships Team have been recognised for the notable work they do in encouraging school leavers, adult students and employers to consider this route. The Apprenticeships Team work closely with employers and students, offering a free Apprenticeship Recruitment Service which advertise vacancies and match employers with students to ensure a successful and cooperative apprenticeship that suits both parties.

The college has also been recognised for their exceptional work in the HE/FE Sector with establishing important employer partnerships to provide our students with an enriching experience compromised of regular interaction and engagement with employers. The Business Partnerships Team at the college engage with local and national employers to offer students live briefs, employer talks and even industry placements. They aim to nurture strong, meaningful and mutually beneficial stakeholder partnerships. With over 500 employers working with us, business engagement is at the heart of all the work we do at the college and the team are continuously finding ways to strengthen our partnerships to benefit employers, staff and students.

The awards ceremony will be held in Manchester on Thursday 3^rd April. With finalists from across the North, the college will be competing against other impressive colleges, universities and education providers
