Enhance your employability: study English and maths at Warrington & Vale Royal College

English and maths are vital skills we all need to develop and keep using throughout life. Almost every job requires the ability to communicate and use numbers confidently. Despite this, adult literary and numeracy skills in the UK are surprisingly low. According to the National Literacy Trust, the latest available data for England suggests that a staggering 1 in 6 adults in England (16.4% or 7.1 million people) have very poor literacy skills. Likewise, figures from National Numeracy reveal roughly 4 in 5 adults have a low level of numeracy. Brushing up on your English and maths skills may not only improve your health and wellbeing, but also your employment prospects and earning. With this in mind, Warrington & Vale Royal College are offering FREE English and maths courses starting in September.
