Meet Julie Burrows, who is completing our Level 2 AAT Accounting course to aid her in her current role as a Business Administration Apprenticeship Assessor.
Julie chose Warrington & Vale Royal College for her AAT qualification because of her previous positive experience here. Having completed Fitness Instruction course a couple of years ago and had such a great experience. When it came time to look for an organisation to complete the AAT qualification, she says she looked no further!
Before her current role as an apprenticeship assessor, Julie was a French and German teacher at a local high school. Her degree in International Business included an accounting and finance module, which she enjoyed. This initial interest led her to study accounting further today.
Julie finds the course very helpful for her current role as it provides her with a greater understanding of what her students are learning and boosts her confidence in accounting. She explains, "This course is very beneficial for my role. It helps me relate to my students' learning experiences and understand the subject matter better."
Julie loves the supportive and friendly environment at Warrington & Vale Royal College. "I love coming to Warrington & Vale Royal College. It's got a real community feel, and the friends I have made on my course are friends for life!"
She also praises the support from the Learner Services team. "The support I have had from the Learner Services team has been incredible. They answered all of my questions regarding funding for the course. I'm just blown away by how much support there is for adult students."
We hope Julie continues to thrive on her accountancy journey with us!
