Jade chose to study at the college to upskill and help her progress toward her career goal of becoming a food technology teacher. She first heard about the course in an adult guide, saying: “I thought the college was just for 16-18-year-olds before seeing the adult course guide. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to further their career or just learn new skills.”

Jade has learnt a range of skills on the course that she can use at home and in her future career. She continues: “The tutor is very friendly, the college is local to me, and it’s very relaxed!”

Jillian, a civil engineer by trade, chose to study at Warrington & Vale Royal College after discovering the course on our website. Having studied here previously, she was confident that it would be an enjoyable experience that would improve her baking skills. Currently working as a project manager, Jillian hopes to one day run her own bakery business – a venture she feels this course is preparing her well for.

She says: “Since becoming a student, I’ve realised there is more to the college than I originally thought. The facilities are good, the tutor is very helpful, and there is plenty of support and guidance.”

Stephen chose to study the course to expand on his knowledge of baking in a structured and supportive environment. He travels from Northwich to study the course, having heard about it first-hand from family members who have also studied here.

He’s gained lots of hands-on experience, learnt a range of new baking skills and is thoroughly enjoying brining his newfound knowledge and skills together to create tasty end products.
