Meet Claire Ellison, a determined student enrolled on our Level 3 Childcare & Education course. Claire's decision to pursue this course stems from a desire to retrain and build a career around her youngest child's formative years, stating that she doesn’t want to miss out on her growing up.

Having discovered the course through one of our course guides, Claire sought advice directly from the Careers Team at the college to determine the best fit for her. Currently volunteering in a school, she aims to transition to a full-time position there, leveraging the insights gained from her studies.

The support from the Careers Team was instrumental in guiding Claire's career choices. She values the local accessibility of the college and appreciates the friendly and supportive atmosphere. Claire finds the college's flexibility accommodating, fitting seamlessly into her part-time work and three-day placement.

Claire's coursework has proven applicable to her volunteer work, enhancing her understanding of child development. She acknowledges the ready support from her tutor, Pennie, and views the college as a practical and supportive institution that aligns with her career goals.

As Claire progresses, Warrington & Vale Royal College continues to support her journey, aiming to facilitate her success in the field of childcare and education.
