Student Ambassadors
Do you want to inspire school leavers in choosing their future career? We are always looking for #WVRAmbassadors to represent the college at events and in schools throughout the academic year. Join us in inspiring the next generation!
This year, the Student Ambassador role will be even bigger and better. Alongside supporting recruitment events, you'll also have opportunities to work with Cara, our Student Experience Officer, and get involved with WVRXtra, our brand-new enrichment programme.
WVRXtra gives students the chance to try new activities, develop valuable life and work skills, gain new experiences, meet new people, and build confidence. It's all about helping students make the most of their time at college while enhancing their employability and personal development. As a Student Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to support and promote these exciting activities, helping fellow students get involved and make the most of everything college life has to offer.
"My favourite part of being a Student Ambassador has been meeting a variety of people from school leavers to their parents and carers, as well as gaining new experiences and having the chance to promote a college that I truly enjoy coming to. I feel that my confidence has grown massively since joining the college last year and I have enjoyed the experience of "

"Being a student ambassador has great benefits, as you get paid, but you also get the chance to work events and take part in college events. I really enjoyed getting the chance to meet new people, talk to parents about my experience at the college and shout about how amazing it is to be a student here."
Daniel Thomas, Level 3 Graphic Design & Illustration student and Student Ambassador
"I have absolutely loved working for the marketing team at Open Evenings. I feel more confident, able to speak to people, and more professional, which will definitely help me in the future. I have really enjoyed meeting people that aren't on my course too and getting the chance to push myself out of my comfort zone. The marketing team are super friendly and I am 100% going to be an ambassador again next year."
