What is the apprenticeship about?

Traineeships are suitable for those aged 16-18 who want to gain work experience with real employers, leading to an apprenticeship or employment.

Why should I choose this apprenticeship?

You should choose to complete a traineeship to give yourself the best opportunity to acquire employability skills and meaningful work experience, which will help you to progress in the world of work.

What will I learn?

A traineeship will allow you to gain valuable work experience and industry knowledge alongside maths and English qualifications. In addition, essential employability skills and occupational studies will supplement your work placement, giving you the skills and experience employers are looking for.

Your traineeship will include two to three days work placement with a recognised employer, six hours of English and maths sessions (if required), and employability and occupational study sessions.

What will the apprenticeship lead on to?

A traineeship can lead on to an apprenticeship, employment, or further education courses.

What support is available?

You will be allocated a designated traineeship job coach to guide you through your traineeship, alongside experienced employability and English and maths teachers. We also have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required, and a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support, and help when needed.

What are the entry requirements?

You must have a minimum of grade 2 in English and maths to begin a traineeship.
