What is the course about?

This course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of sensory play, craft ideas and outdoor play for children in the early Years. During the course you will look at the importance of each aspect and create a range of activities that can help to develop skills with children.

Why should I choose the course?

By completing the course, you will develop an awareness of sensory play, craft ideas and outdoor play. These skills will be helpful when working with children in an early years setting or in a more casual setting such as your home. It can also support progression to further qualifications.

You will be taught by qualified teachers who have experience working Health and Social Care and Early Years sector.

What will I learn?

During the course you will:

· Understand what is meant by the term play

· Understand the benefits of different types of play

· Plan and create activities

What will the course lead on to?

Through completing this course, students will develop knowledge which would support progression to further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sectors.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:

· Introduction to Autism

· Managing children’s behaviour

· Introducing working in schools
