What is the course about?

This business course is the right course for you.
This course, will give you both an insight and a deeper understanding of how to take your business to the next level and ensure that you are abiding to the rules and regulations required as an entrepreneur or small business owner.
Why should I choose the course?
The course is for individuals who have attended First steps to Starting your own business: Part 1, they have learnt the initial steps of business start-up including business ownership, market research and resources required.
What will I learn?
Current Business Audit
All learners will carry out a full business audit to see what they have completed since the last course, first steps to business and they will complete an audit of their current business model and that will underline the areas that still need improving or developing.
Registering the Business: Roles and Responsibilities.
All learners will learn about how to set up a business address and how to register their business with the legal authorities, such as Company House. Learners will learn what their legal roles and responsibilities are in relation to owning and managing a business and how to maintain records for inspection.
Financial Matters
All learners will learn how to price up products and services and learn how to manage profit margins. Learners will learn how to register their business with HMRC and will learn when financial statements that need to be produced, learners will learn how to comply with these rules and understand the consequences if they are late with their returns.
Business Law
All learners will understand why insurance and public liability should be in place when owning a business. Learners will learn more about their legal responsibilities as a business owner and use this new found knowledge to create a set of policies and procedures for their business. Learners will learn about several of the consumer acts and how they need to comply.
Marketing and Promotion for a small business and providing good Customer Service
All learners will learn how to set up a Google my business page and what information they need to regularly update. Learners will create a Link Tree link and register their business on Trustpilot. Learners will also explore the different sales platforms that are available to sell products and services to their target audience.

What support is available?
Learners will be allocated a tutor who will guide and support them throughout their course. We also have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed.
