What is the course about?

The purpose of this course is to improve your basic mathematical skills.

Why should I choose the course?

During this course you will learn basic numeracy skills to improve your mathematical mind, learn how to use; addition, subtraction, multiplication and divide to improve your mathematical ability.

What will I learn?

Basic Skills covers the 4 basic maths operations:

  • Addition
  • Subtraction
  • Multiplication
  • Division

You will be taught and shown how to use these opertations in a variety of everyday situations.

What will the course lead on to?

On successful completion of the course, you will be able to progress onto the next level course, Basic Skills 2, or drop into future courses to help improve your mathematical ability.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to reside in the Liverpool City Region to be eligible to complete this course.

Students will need to be an adult aged 19 or above on the 31st August 2023.
