What is the course about?
We use maths in all aspects of everyday life, this may be helping with homework, understanding bills and bank statements or even using the numeracy skills you can learn to help others. With improved numeracy confidence and strategies to solve problems numbers will lose the mystic and become part of your everyday life skills.
Why should I choose the course?
Numeracy is essential to an individual’s ability to learn and to engage productively in society. Numeracy doesn’t necessarily mean complex skills, like different calculations or algebra, it rather means to be confident enough to use basic maths/numeracy in daily life situations.
What will I learn?
Recognising how maths skills can improve confidence in your job role. If you are using measurements that need to be accurate, presenting data through charts and graphs or calculating your own taxes, pension and insurance rates, numeracy skills in the workplace are essential skills for your present job or even as part of your career path.
