What is the course about?

The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Dyslexia, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Dyscalculia.

The course will cover the diagnosis and how to support individuals with these learning difficulties in various environments.  It is suitable for anyone working or looking to work with individuals with specific learning difficulties in education, health and social care.

The course is made up of five units:

●       Understand the context of specific learning difficulties

The course is delivered online through Google Classroom by a subject specialist tutor.

The qualification is internally assessed using a range of methods including written assignments or tasks.

What will the course lead on to?

This qualification will support employment opportunities, in the roles of teaching staff, teaching assistants, welfare support, breakfast/afterschool club assistants, SEND and 1-1 support as well further study opportunities to the L2 or L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
