It provides an introduction to both early years and primary school settings, helping to understand how to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing from birth to 11 years.

What will the course lead on to?
After completing this course, you could progress on to Level 3 qualifications in Early Years Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or related areas. You may also move into entry-level roles such as nursery assistant, classroom assistant or preschool assistant.

Are there any links with industry and university?
You will complete a work placement in both an early years setting and a primary school, gaining valuable real-world experience. The course includes at least 120 hours of placement, helping you develop practical skills and understand the workplace.
