What is the course about?
This course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of different job roles within a school and the skills needed to gain employment.
Why should I choose the course?
By completing this course you will develop an understanding of what employers look for when they are recruiting within the sector and you will begin to build the skills and knowledge of working within a school setting.
You will be taught by qualified teachers who have experience working in the Health and Social Care and Early Years sectors.
What will I learn?
During the course you will learn about different job roles within schools, explore the roles and responsibilities of different job roles, and develop the skills required to work in a school.
What will the course lead on to?
By completing this course, learners will develop knowledge which will support progression on to other courses such as:
- Introduction to Autism,
- Sensory Play, Craft Ideas and Outdoor Play, and
- Managing Behaviour.
It will also help support progression in to employment in the Health and Social Care or Education sectors.

As part of the Health and Social Care Academy we have valuable industry links within the community and with universities.
