What is the course about?

If you have a passion for digital photography and want to know more about not only taking better photographs but also enhancing your photographs, this course will help expand your existing skills and knowledge.

Why should I choose the course?

If you own any type of camera, from smartphone to DSLR and want to improve on your knowledge of digital photography or get the best out of your camera and photographs, this course is perfect for you.

What will I learn?

The course will show you the potential of your own camera and how to access and use the individual features and settings.

You will learn:

• How to compose photographs and the meaning of much of the Jargon you will encounter around photography.
• How to manipulate and enhance your photographs using simple techniques.
• Also how to fix damage or remove distracting elements from photographs, etc.
• Learn how to share and safely store your growing collection of photographs via the Internet and social media.

You will be informally assessed by the tutor, and you will also self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan.

What will the course lead on to?

On completion of this course, you may be offered progression onto another ACL course, such as other Digital Photography or Essential Digital Skills courses.

We offer a wide variety of part-time adult courses to help you upskill, secure that promotion, even get to university, or just meet new friends, we will have something for you.

There is also progression onto Photography courses, available at Warrington Campus.

What support is available?

We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if required, as well as a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed. Additionally, eligible students can access a wide range of finance and funding support to help them during their time at college. Further information can be located here: College Life
