  • How to master the art of covering your cake with smooth marzipan and fondant icing
  • How to add a pop of color with food coloring and create vibrant buttercream effects
  • How to pipe buttercream for elegant details and beautiful finishes
  • How toĀ get creativeĀ with 3D fondant models and festive decorations
  • How to perfect your icing techniques, including painting on letters and creating intricate designs.

What are the entry requirements?

You must be aged at least 19 and have an interest in the subject area.Ā  You must also be willing to partake in classroom activities and discussions and to self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan at the end of each session.

Are there any additional costs associated with the course?

You will need to purchase or make your own fruit or sponge cake.

The tutor will advise at week one when to purchase or make cakes to decorate. You will need to provide a tin or plastic container to take your cakes home in. You may wish to purchase your own cake decorating tools along with a notebook and pen for taking notes.
