What is the course about?

This online short course is part of Warrington & Vale Royal College’s professional development suite. The course provides a basic introduction on how to create a website for your business.

Why should I choose the course?

This course is one that is universally important for all business owners, irrespective of the size of your business. Almost all businesses and organisations have a digital presence in the form of a website to promote their goods and services. This introductory course will introduce you to the tools to establish your own online presence through a website.

You will complete this course remotely, using information and materials that will be set up and ready on an online platform. You can complete the course in your own time, around your other commitments. You will be provided six weeks to complete the modules.

What will I learn?

On the course you will be introduced to key aspects of creating a website for your business:

  • Explain the different platforms that are available
  • Introduce you to the sites that can help you set up a website
  • How to buy custom domain names for your business

How to host your website once established

After completing this course, you could take your skills to the next level by progressing onto digital marketing courses or related business and management courses.
