Winsford campus students take part in Riso printing workshop with Dizzy Ink

Students at the Warrington & Vale Royal College Winsford campus recently took part in an exciting Risograph workshop delivered by Craig, Ed and Olivia from Nottingham-based printing company Dizzy Ink.

The HNC Applied Arts and HNC Graphic Design students, along with Level 3 Graphic Design and Level 3 Media students, were delighted to experience such a creative workshop with industry professionals.

Dizzy Ink delivered a presentation explaining the nature of their work and brought along a selection of zines, which covered a wide range of intriguing topics, for the students to peruse. They also brought their transportable Risograph machine, allowing the students to learn about Risograph printing and see the machine in action.

The students were set a highly creative task of creating and printing their own work, based around the theme of activism. The students were given free rein to create a zine around a cause that they feel passionate about. Winsford campus Graphic Design Tutor Ellie Strowger said: We are delighted that Dizzy Ink were able to deliver this workshop. The students got a lot from the session and really enjoyed the chance to get creative while learning about something new.
