What is the course about?
The Level 2 Award in Creative and Digital Industries is a broad qualification that will develop your knowledge of key areas in the Creative and Digital industry. This course will support progression to a number of level 3 programmes including: Games Design or Games Development, IT or Creative Media or the Arts.

The Creative Industries is a rapidly growing sector and according to employment statistics from the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, there was almost three times more growth in jobs in this area compared to all other job areas. This course will enable you to understand and build skills in a number of key areas that will support you on your career pathway into this sector.
What will I learn?
You will develop knowledge, understanding skills and behaviours in key areas in digital and creative industries with the opportunity to focus on areas such as graphic design, games design and development, website design, Audio Production, Animation.
What will the course lead on to?
Successful completion of this qualification could support progression onto a number of Level 3 programmes including: Games Development, IT, Media or Arts programmes.
Are there any links with industry and university?
We have links with ABB, Draw and Code, Apple, 10:10 Games and Vizbox. The Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Centre is proud to work with a wide range of local and national employers who will deliver industry-specific skills and knowledge during the course, offer learners the chance to take part in competitions or live briefs and often talent spot for their next employees.
What support is available?
We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed. Additionally, eligible students can access a wide range of finance and funding support to help them during their time at college.

You will be exposed to a number of opportunities that will introduce you to the new skills that are desperately needed in industry.
