What is the course about?
This qualification is designed for those who aspire to work in, or continue to study performing arts. It develops knowledge of the principles of performance skills. The primary purpose of this qualification is to introduce the skills, knowledge and qualities needed in the performing arts sector.

You will develop skills in a wide variety of performance types, such as drama, dance, music, and stand-up comedy, with a view to progressing onto further qualifications. You will develop fundamental practical skills and focus on developing your performance ability and critical awareness, which will be essential in supporting you to secure employment in the sector.

- Develop your performance skills
- Support you in developing and preparing performing arts work
- Support you in presenting performing arts work.
What will the course lead on to?
This qualification could support your progression onto a level 2 qualification in Performing Arts or in your career development. You could progress to a wide range of roles that are involved in Performing Arts, including; Actor, Community arts worker, Choreographer, Dancer or Theatre Support Technician.

The Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Centre is proud to work with a wide range of local and national employers who will support the teaching team to deliver industry-specific skills and knowledge, offer learners the chance to take part in competitions or live briefs and often talent spot for their next employees.

We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed. Additionally, eligible students can access a wide range of finance and funding support to help them during their time at college.
